FastCtrl allows you to create workflows and inspection processes without writing a single line of code. All steps are configured in a visual editor – fast, intuitive, and secure.

No. A basic technical understanding is sufficient. Workflows are created entirely within the visual editor and can be configured intuitively.

FastCtrl is ideal for:

  • Testing departments
  • Laboratories and test setups
  • Mechanical engineering and special-purpose machine construction
  • Demo and trade show models
  • Training and educational environments

Anywhere workflows need to be automated and devices controlled – without traditional programming.

AST offers a comprehensive range of services around FastCtrl: from the software itself to planning and system design, all the way to control cabinet construction and installation. Our approach is modular – depending on your requirements, you can choose the complete package or select individual services.

FastCtrl offers the functionality of a mature, production-ready standard software while providing maximum flexibility.

Control is maintained even when the mechanical setup changes.
Company-specific know-how remains protected, as no external programmers are required.
Thanks to its extensive standard feature set, workflows can be adapted independently – efficiently, securely, and cost-effectively.

In the simplest case, our basic control system is used. It includes a configurable number of pneumatic valves as well as input and output modules—essentially ready to use out of the box. A user-friendly multi-touch panel is directly integrated.

In addition, we can of course implement individual customer requirements and adapt your control system precisely to your needs.

FastCtrl is primarily a no-code software that allows you to create and manage sequence controls quickly and intuitively—without traditional programming. The created programs are executed on standard PLC controllers from Beckhoff®.

Yes. As experts in automation technology, we enable you to continue using your existing hardware. Retrofitting machines is one of our core competencies.

Yes. Here as well, our no-code approach enables simple programming. With the corresponding module, up to 8 NC axes per controller can be operated. Users can conveniently define target positions and target speeds for the individual axes. We do not distinguish between different axis systems such as servo or stepper motors.

Yes. FastCtrl can be adapted to your specific tasks without losing the advantages of standardized serial software.

In addition, we place great importance on customer feedback to continuously further develop FastCtrl.

In addition to digital inputs and outputs, FastCtrl supports analog inputs and outputs via EtherCAT®. Furthermore, numerous field devices can be connected via additional fieldbus systems, such as PROFIBUS®, PROFINET®, Ethernet/IP™, Modbus®, OPC UA®, and many more.

FastCtrl is used on Windows. This is where you create and manage your workflows.

Execution is handled by an integrated software PLC that operates like a traditional controller—just without programming.

FastCtrl provides an integrated web server through which you can view the current status of your workflows at any time. In addition, you can receive automatic email notifications in case of faults—so you always keep an eye on your processes, even remotely.

FastCtrl distinguishes between automatically generated reports and user reports.

Automatic reports are generated after a successful or aborted process. They include program data, counter values, and timestamps.
User reports are triggered manually by the operator. For example, value-time curves of analog inputs or the program logic of a process can be output.

Reports can be saved as Word, Excel, image, or PDF files.

The behavior as well as custom logo files are defined by the customer.

Yes. FastCtrl enables easy import and export of programs and configurations. This allows existing workflows to be transferred, backed up, or exchanged between different systems—simply and without additional programming effort.

Yes, we provide individual support for every customer. Our goal is for you to be able to use FastCtrl independently and quickly, without being permanently dependent on our assistance. Personal exchange and practical support are the main focus.
